What is communication mode ? Explain the types of Communication mode ?

What is transmission mode ?
When there is transmission of data between devices, then according to the direction of transmission of data communication between devices occur either in one direction or in both the directions . communication mode can be divided into three category according to the direction of transmission of data .

NOTE:- Transmission mode is called as communication mode .

Types Of Transmission Mode :-

Simplex Transmission Mode :-
When the transmission of data between devices is in only single direction then this type of transmission is called as Simplex Transmission Mode .
e.g. In computer Data from keyboard is send towards Computer , and in other devices for example in printer data is transitted from computer towards printer only , in scanner Data is scanned and send towards computer .

Advantages of Simplex Transmission Mode :-
1.This is Cheap Communication Line .
2.Speed of this line is fast .

Disadvantages of Simplex Transmission Mode :-
1.As the mode of transmission in this mode is in only single direction , so feedback cannot be given in this mode of communication .

Half-Duplex Transmission Mode :-
When the transmission of data is possible in either direction but at a time transmission of data is possible in only one direction , this type of transmission of data is called as Half-Duplex Transmission Mode. .
e.g. Walkie-Talkie is a device in which transmission of data is possible in one direction at a time , and 2nd time transmission of data is possible from the other side .

Full-Duplex Transmission Mode :-
When the transmission between devices is possible in both the direction at a time then this type of transmission is called as Full-Duplex Transmission Mode .
e.g. in mobile and telephone transmission is possible in both the direction at a time and sender can get feedback instantly .
