Fiber core :-
A slim glass cylinder is present in the fiber optic cable which is called as the core of fiber optic cable . Through this core data is transmitted via digital signal in fiber optic cable .
Cladding :-
On the layer after the core there is a layer of mixture of plastic and glass which is called as cladding of fiber optic cable . Fiber optic cable transmits data via pulses of light due to which hackers are not able to hack data from network .
There is no impact of outer signals in fiber optic cable that is why data in this cable can be transmitted upto the speed of 1 GBPS . To install this cable in network , there is a need of expensive connector and devices .
